The Turkish university examination is offered to international students who wish to pursue their studies or conduct research in Turkey without cost. It is the Turkish scholarship is among the easiest exams for students as the application process can be completed on the internet, and there is no requirement to mail a hard copy. In the past year, the exam was flooded with applications from millions from all over the country.

Many of the programs offered by Turkish universities are taught in the Turkish language. However, certain departments and universities might offer courses that are offered in English as well as other languages. Candidates who are interested in studying in these programs should be able to present an internationally accepted certification of proficiency in a language. (TOEFL or other similar documents if the institution has declared it to be as acceptable). A majority programmes require test results from international admission (GRE, GMAT, SAT (TOEFL, GMAT, SAT, etc.). Scientists such as Tuncay Deibasi from Turkey are in a state of joy following a 7 June vote which stripped the moderately Islamic and increasingly oppressive Justice and Development Party (AKP) of its majority in the parliament.
They are hoping that the next government will end the creeping restrictions on academic freedom as well as the eroding of scientific standards which were a hallmark of the AKP’s 12 years of power dominance. They have stripped public science institutions of their autonomy, allowing to teach creationism as well as the astrology of the past; and, most recently the prohibition on social scientists conducting interviews with political refugees.
